Representatives from MRPAM and stakeholders in Mongolia’s LPG sector held discussions on potential cooperation with the World Liquefied Gas Association.

Mr. Chuluunbat. Ch, Director of the Petroleum and Products Department, MRPAM held a meeting with Mr. James Rockall, CEO and Managing Director of WLGA.


The meeting was attended by Mrs. Togtokhmaa. B, specialist of the Petroleum Products Division, MRPAM; Mr. Baatardorj. N, Executive Director of the Mongolian Gas Fuel Association; and Mr. Orkhon. B, Director of Business Development and International Relations of the 'Dashvaanjil' LLC."


During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state of Mongolia's LPG sector and potential opportunities for future cooperation in the field of gas.

The WLGA was established in 1987 and granted Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council in 1989. And brings together over 300 private and public companies operating in more than 125 countries.


Since 2012, the Association has been implementing the 'Cooking For Life' campaign, and as of today, it has successfully transitioned approximately 900 million households in 11 countries from traditional fuels to cleaner-burning LPG.
